The Hangout with Roselyn (HWR) Crew kicked off the year with an inspiring Growth Breakfast on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Nox Grill, A&C Corner, East Legon – Accra, starting at 8:30 am.
The event drew a diverse mix of attendees, including:

Speakers & Highlights:
Mr Yaw Mpare is a finance and development professional with over 20 years of experience – delivered the first presentation titled “SHOW UP: Turning Every Moment Into an Opportunity for Growth.”
He emphasized that success isn’t about perfection but about consistently showing up. He shared that showing up means being Present, Intentional, and Engaged (PIE), and that these three qualities build credibility, open doors to opportunities, and create a future worth living. He reminded participants that in careers and life, visibility matters—“people can’t value what they can’t see.” From building strong workplace reputations to investing in personal growth and cultivating powerful networks, Mr. Mpare encouraged mentees to stand out like red sneakers in a crowd of white shoes—bold, visible, and impossible to ignore.
Ms. Kokui Selormey is a celebrated Ghanaian media personality, presenter, broadcast journalist, and entrepreneur – followed with a presentation titled “Unlocking Your Potential: A Growth Mindset for Success.”
Her session touched on discovering one’s unique path, defining personal stories, and honing individual superpowers. She highlighted the importance of thinking creatively, building confidence, and overcoming imposter syndrome, noting that these are key challenges faced by many young professionals. In closing, she stressed the value of networking and mentorship, underscoring how meaningful connections can serve as catalysts for career advancement and leadership growth.
Co-founder of Hangout with Roselyn – wrapped up the event with heartfelt closing remarks. Drawing from her own life’s journey, she reminded participants that beyond talent, skills, and opportunities, humility and submission are key ingredients for true success. She passionately emphasized that the hand and favor of God remain the ultimate driving force behind her personal and professional milestones, encouraging everyone to anchor their ambitions with faith and discipline.
