Event Overview

The maiden edition of Hangout with Roselyn (HWR) was successfully held on July 20th, 2024, at Silicon House Production, Accra, beginning at 3:00 PM. This foundational event was the official launch of what has now become a signature mentorship and networking platform.
Phase 1 was to introduce the Hangout with Roselyn platform as a safe and nurturing mentorship space, while equipping mentees and participants with valuable insights on navigating both personal and professional challenges. It also sought to foster meaningful connections among young professionals, women in male-dominated industries, and individuals at career crossroads. Above all, the event aimed to inspire action through authentic dialogue, storytelling, and the sharing of real-life experiences.

The event drew a diverse mix of attendees, including:

• 115 streamed live on Youtube ( current views @ 232 viewers)
• 72 participants in person made up of 60 females and 12 males (mostly young professionals (26–35 years).

Also, 5 dedicated HWR crew members and 3 others on Sound and Photography.

Speakers & Highlights:

The program featured Roselyn Fosuah Adjei, alongside distinguished guests who enriched the conversation with their wisdom and experiences:

Human Resource Manager with 14 years of international experience, who shared personal testimonies about building meaningful professional relationships.

Regional Programme Coordinator, International Water Management Institute, who emphasized the importance of women supporting each other in leadership roles.

Co-founder of The Keeper’s House Chapel International, who delivered profound closing remarks on perseverance, mentorship as hard work, and the importance of nurturing the HWR “vision baby” to maturity.

Key Highlights

1. The Ask Roselyn Segment – A lively and interactive session where Roselyn responded to real questions from participants on topics such as:

◦ Handling criticism and negative energy.
◦ Building a career path and recognizing divine redirection.
◦ Job search strategies with advanced qualifications.
◦ Balancing ambition with integrity in male-dominated spaces.

Her responses combined practical advice with spiritual wisdom, stressing resilience, networking, humility, and focus.

2. Musical Interlude – An uplifting break featuring a live performance from Asiama (@Asiamagram on Instagram)

3. Roselyn’s Statement – She delivered a heartfelt address emphasizing:

◦ Community: building together beyond politics and religion.
◦ Excellence & productivity: the power of details, delegation, and showing up.
◦ Vision & humility: living with intentionality while anchoring one’s journey in God’s favor.

Engagement Style

Participants had the opportunity to ask questions and joined in discussions, with additional feedback collected through live interactive tools like Slido.

Overall Impact

Phase 1 set a strong foundation for the Hangout with Roselyn movement. It established the platform as:
